Invitation to the Camino de Santiago
Autumn 2025
It is said that the Camino doesn’t seek people – it calls them.
Often through a strange event, an inner impulse, a sentence in a conversation… or – simply – through a message like this one.
Maybe this is the sign you’ve been waiting for.
Why are we doing this?
Because we know that the Camino begins long before the first step.
Because we believe in the power of the Camino.
Because we know how much it means to feel you’re not alone – especially on such a big and meaningful journey.
And because maybe, just maybe, this invitation will help someone take a step that changes their life.
Our association’s president will begin the Camino Francés on 17 October 2025 – the most well-known and longest of all the routes leading to the shrine of St. James in Santiago de Compostela.
He will start walking from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, arriving in France via Venice and Bordeaux on 15 October.
This will be a personal pilgrimage, but also a study project, documenting encounters with pilgrims through photographs, portraits, and short stories.
The goal is to publish a book that authentically captures the faces and soul of the Camino.
We are not organizing a package tour.
We do not offer transport, accommodation, or meals.
But – we invite you to set out on your own journey, at the same time and toward the same goal, knowing that you are not alone.
Everyone walks alone, but the feeling that someone is behind you – to offer advice, support, or even just a message – means a lot, especially if it’s your first Camino.
If you decide to walk, know that you will be part of a small but real community during that time. Our association will be a quiet support – a source of information, help if you get stuck, a contact in the unknown, or simply company for a shared dinner.
The goal of this project is not numbers – it is an authentic experience. That the Camino finds you and leads you through what you most need at that moment.
That’s why we are launching this open invitation.
